According to information, congress attacked the ruling party, calling it a misuse of government property, while BJP leaders and local officials tried to defend the act.
The meeting took place on Sunday at the Municipal Corporation's official hall near Bal Bhavan, where BJP leaders gathered to discuss plans for a new party office. The hall is usually reserved for administrative and ministerial meetings, not political activities.
The meeting was led by BJP district president Jaiprakash Rajoria, and as the video leaked and spread on social media, media personnel rushed to the spot. BJP quickly ended the meeting.
When questioned by reporters, Rajoria appeared uneasy and avoided giving clear answers.
Congress criticises BJP
Congress district president Devendra Sharma criticised BJP, saying the party has already turned government offices into its own workspaces and is now shamelessly using official halls for political purposes. He demanded strict action, calling it a clear violation of rules.
Municipal Commissioner Sangh Priya said he learned about the matter through the media and would look into it. The incident has raised strong questions about the misuse of government property for party activities.
