Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is going to visit Spain and Italy for a week from July 13.
Principal secretary (Industries) Raghvendra Singh, principal secretary (tourism) Sheo Shekhar Shukla, commissioner (public relations) Sudam Khade, secretary of the CM’s secretariat Ilayaraja and the managing director of MPIDC Chandramauli Shukla will accompany Yadav.
Apart from them, some other officers may also accompany the Chief Minister. Yadav is going to these countries for investments in the state. After taking over as CM, Yadav has visited abroad twice.
Before the Global Investors’ Summit, Yadav went to the UK and Germany in November last year. In January this year, he visited Japan.
Investment proposals worth ₹78,000 crores were received from the UK and Germany in the state. Yadav had talks with Japan for setting up an industrial platform with Japan.
There were also talks for bringing some projects to the country on the pattern of Japan. Spain is well known in the automobile, ship manufacturing and garment sectors. The tourism sector also plays an important role in Spain's economy.
Italy does the work of fashion designing, machinery and food processing. Besides, both Italy and Spain are well known for their history, arts, architecture and culture.
