Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A clerk working at a travel agency in Gwalior has cheated his employer of ₹30 lakh and is now missing.
The accused, Hars Gangwani, took money from customers for tour and travel packages but did not deposit it into the company’s account.

He has been missing since March without informing the agency.
According to information, the agency, ‘Rajput Communication’, is run by Dharmendra Singh, a resident of Anand Nagar in Bahodapur area.
The agency provides tour packages, hotel bookings, and other travel services. Hars Gangwani had been working there as a clerk for the past year.
In March, Hars suddenly stopped coming to work. When Dharmendra checked the accounts, he first found a mismatch of about ₹17.5 lakh.
Later, when the balance sheet was prepared at the end of March, it was found that the total fraud was around ₹30 lakh.
Dharmendra tried to contact Hars, but his phone was switched off. When he went to his house, Hars was not there either. After that, Dharmendra filed a complaint at Bahodapur police station.
Police said that Hars also took money from regular customers of the agency.
Around 15 customers gave him advance payments for tour bookings, but the bookings were never done. When the trips didn’t happen, the customers came back asking for refunds.
Bahodapur police have registered a case of fraud against Hars Gangwani and have started looking for him.
Police are also gathering details from his relatives and friends to find out his whereabouts.
SHO Jitendra Singh Tomar said that Hars cheated the agency of around ₹30 lakh and will be arrested soon.
