BJP Leader In Jabalpur Receives Threatening Calls Over Nephew's Loan Dispute

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A BJP leader in Jabalpur has reportedly received multiple threatening phone calls related to a loan recovery dispute involving his nephew on Thursday.

Prabhat Sahu, who serves as the city president of the party, has reportedly received multiple threatening phone calls.

According to information, the incident took place on Tuesday evening during a meeting at the BJP office when Sahu received eight calls from the same number.

The caller not only used abusive language but also issued threats, claiming that Sahu’s nephew had taken a loan that was not repaid. Using this as an excuse, the caller verbally abused and threatened him. Following the incident, Prabhat Sahu filed a complaint at Lordganj Police Station.

Police have taken the matter seriously and launched an investigation with the help of the cyber cell. According to Lordganj Police Station in-charge H.K. Atmere, efforts are underway to trace the phone number and identify the caller’s location. Authorities are confident of apprehending the accused soon.

Prabhat Sahu condemned the incident, stating, “Such behavior is unacceptable. As the city president of BJP, I demand immediate action against the culprit.”

The cyber cell is actively working to trace the accused, and the incident has sparked concern at both political and social levels in the city.
