Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl was electrocuted after she accidentally touched a cooler with electric current at her home under Shahjehanabad police station limits on Saturday night. The body was handed over to her kin after autopsy and further investigations were being carried out in this connection, police said.
According to reports, Mohammad Hamid is a municipal employee and lives with his family in Vajpai Nagar. Hamid informed police that he was not at home on Sunday night. His wife called him and informed that their daughter Azra received an electric shock. Hamid rushed back home and took Azra to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Shahjehanabad police station incharge Umesh Pal Singh Chauhan said primary investigations indicate that the child touched the cooler while playing. The cooler had electric current and the child died of an electric shock.

2 'caged' for stealing parcel of pigeons at rly station
Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested two persons who were trying to steal a parcel containing cage with pigeons. The parcel was booked for Mumbai on Saturday evening. A case has been registered against the duo, railway officials said.
Senior divisional security commissioner (railway) Prashant Yadav said accused Aman Rawat (20) and Rakesh Lohat (25) had been arrested. The two have past criminal record and are habitual offenders.
According to RPF inspector Manish Kumar, parcel contained a cage of pigeons, which was booked for Mumbai and was lying on the platform along with the other parcels when two persons picked up the cage with 40 pigeons worth over Rs 3,000 and moved outside the railway station.
However, the alert RPF personnel immediately apprehended the duo and seized the stolen parcel from their possession. The arrested persons have been sent to jail.
