Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Khajuri Sadak police arrested three miscreants who attempt to set a man on fire after pouring petrol on him two days ago. The incident took place following an altercation between them, police said.
According to reports, Lakhapur village resident Ravi Dhangar who works at a utensil shop informed police that his brother Ashish was intercepted by resident Praveen and Saurabh in an inebriated state while he was returning from Sehore in the night on May 13.
The accused assaulted Ashish and snatched the keys of his bike. Ravi, Ashish and their cousin Atul then went to the spot to ask them to return the keys. However, the duo had an altercation with Ravi and misbehaved with him.
Suddenly, Praveen produced a bottle and poured petrol on Ravi. The accused threw a lit match stick on Ravi when he tried to escape. Ravi’s clothes caught fire but his brothers rescued him and admitted him to the hospital.

A FIR was registered against three persons.
Khajuri Sadak police station incharge Neeraj Verma said police teams went to Ujjain in search of the accused but to no avail. On Friday, police team raided the forest area near Kolas River where the accused Praveen Mewada, Saurabh Malviya and Pratap were found hiding in the bushes.
