Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Lok Sabha Member Alok Sharma has opposed the proposed shifting of Bhopal collectorate from old city to New Bhopal stating that there must be well balanced development of all the constituencies in the state capital.

Around 13 acres in Professors Colony has been marked for the new collectorate building. A seven-storey building will be constructed on eight acres of land at a cost of Rs 412 crore. A plan has also been prepared to translocate a large number of trees.
