Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A bike mechanic was attacked and stabbed by a group of miscreants under TT Nagar police station limits on late Tuesday night.

The accused uploaded the video of the injured mechanic on social media after the attack. It is alleged that the mechanic was attacked for refusing to give extortion money. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to arrest the accused, police said.

According to reports, Shiv Nagar Colony resident Aman Khan (24) runs a bike repair workshop. Residents of the same area Narendra Raikwar, Nilesh Rajak and their aides were demanding extortion money from Aman.

Aman’s kin said he also made a complaint at TT Nagar police in this connection but no action was taken.

On late Tuesday night, Aman was at a tea stall when Narendra, Nilesh and their aides reached there in a SUV. They attacked Aman with sharp-edged weapons causing multiple injuries to him. Locals rushed to the spot but the miscreants fled by then.

It is alleged that Narendra later uploaded video of injured Aman with a warning on social media. DCP Shashank said an FIR had been registered in this connection and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the culprits.
