Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress mayoral candidate Vibha patel, BJP mayoral candidate Malti Rai, water resources minister Tulsi Silawat and Collector Avinash Lawania casted their votes on Wednesday. Besides, Collector Avinash Lawania inspected polling booths at 6 in the morning on Wednesday.
Collector Avinash Lawania along with his wife casted his vote at 74-Bunglow polling booth.
Malti Rai cast her vote at Habibia School, Pushpa Nagar whereas Congress candidate Vibha Patel cast her vote at Barkatullah University polling booth. MLA Rameshwar Sharma along with his wife cast his vote.
According to reports, EVM machines broke down at polling booths in Bairagarh. So polling started late at some polling booths as EVMs were changed at these places.
As many as 2116 polling booths have been made for polling in the city. And over 17 lakh votes have to exercise their franchise. There are 8 mayor candidates and 380 corporators candidates are in fray.
