Bhopal Man Kills Wife On Suspicion Of Having Illicit Affair

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a man strangulated his wife on suspicion of her having an illicit affair with another person. The man then himself reached Parvalia Sadak Police Station and confessed to his crime on Monday morning. An FIR has been registered in this connection at Parvalia Sadak police station and the accused has been arrested, police officials said.

As per reports, resident of Tara Seonia village, Rajesh Ahirwar (24) was married to Madhu Ahirwar (22) in the year 2020. The couple also had a one-year-old son.

However, for some time, Rajesh used to suspect his wife having an extra-marital affair. The couple often used to scuffle over the issue. Police officials said that on Monday morning, Rajesh and Madhu again had an altercation over the same issue.

In a fit of rage, Rajesh assaulted Madhu and then strangulated her. Rajesh then himself reached Parvalia Sadak police station. The cops were shocked when Rajesh told them that he had strangulated his wife and was not sure if she was dead.

Police team reached Rajesh’s home where Madhu was found dead. SDOP Itkhedi Manju Chauhan said Madhu’s family members also reached the spot-on receiving information.

Primary questioning of the accused revealed that he suspected his wife to be having an illicit affair. He told police that his wife often used to chat with someone on phone despite his objections. An FIR has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s brother, the SDOP added.
