Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that to find a permanent solution to the problem wherein people suffer inconvenience due to blockade of traffic during the time of VIP and VVIP movement, a new helipad shall be constructed near CM House and adjacent to Vallabh Bhawan (Mantralaya).
This will not only lessen the distance between CM House and Vallabh Bhawan, but will also save time. He was chairing the review meeting of the Aviation Department held at Samatava Bhawan situated at CM House premises on Tuesday.
He added that to give new dimension to tourism, air connectivity is the basic need. Therefore, air connectivity shall be increased in every possible manner so that people can come to the state and see its rich historical legacy. He cited that the aviation department, culture, tourism and medical department shall work together in the direction of increasing air connectivity.
He opined that the state is having huge potential of self-healing and healing tourism. He directed to run employment-oriented diploma and degree courses in training centres of pilot and crew members. New pilots shall be recruited and trained.
He said that shortly Satna and Datia airports will be dedicated. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Sanjay Shukla informed that flights have increased in the state. In 2023-24, around 55 lakh people availed flight services and by March 31, the figure will reach 75 lakh.
