Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A security guard at a private bank committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed gun at Tulsi Nagar under TT Nagar police station limits late Friday night. The man left no suicide note but investigations revealed that the incident is fallout of a domestic scuffle, police said.
According to reports, hailing from Rewa district Balchandra Saundhiya, 45, worked as a security guard at a private bank and lived with his wife and two children. However, for the past two years Balchandra became excessively addicted to alcohol following which his wife Shobha shifted to another house nearby on rent with her son and daughter.

Balchandra used to pressure his wife for living with him. Balchandra’s son informed police that on Friday night Balchandra approached his mother in an inebriated state at around 10 pm. The duo again scuffled over the issue of living together. Shobha called police after Balchandra became violent.
Balchandra was taken to the police station but was released later in the night after a compromise with his wife. Balchandra reached his home and set his bike and clothes on fire before shooting himself with his single barrel licensed gun at around 12.
Police officials said that primary investigation indicates that Balchandra pointed the barrel towards his chest and pulled the trigger. ACP Ankita Khatarkar said the gun has been seized and further investigations were being carried out in this connection.
