BHOPAL: State minister of public works, cottage and village industries, Gopal Bhargava called on Union minister of road transport and highways, micro, small and medium enterprises, Nitin Gadkari, in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Bhargava expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government for including the proposals of Rs 3856 crore of the state in the action plan of the Central Government for the year 2021-22.
He urged the minister to increase the length of the route from Nasrullaganj to Sandalpur by 38 km and from Budhni to Bari by 55 km after the Centre declared Budhni to Nasrullaganj road as National Highway 146B in the state. This will lead to better connectivity between the two national highways. The total length of these two stretches is 93 km, which is under consideration in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to declare it as a highway.
The minister requested to Union Minister Gadkari to approve 52 works under C.R.I.F. head by MPPWD, costing Rs 4256 crore, whose proposals have been sent for administrative approval.
He also requested to give administrative approval of 7 works of strengthening of MPPWD and 11 works of One Time Investment. Proposals for administrative approval for these works have been sent to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. He asked to issue LOA regarding the rehabilitation and upgradation work of Sidhi-Singrauli road section N.H. 75 (E) on EPC mode. As per the policy of the Ministry, LOA can be issued on the availability of 90% of the land, in this project 99% of the land is available.
