17-Year-Old Girl Raped By Relative, Accused Jailed
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her relative on December 16 and police sent him to jail after court proceedings, Bilkheriya police said here on Saturday. Police officials said that a 25-year-old man, who is a site labourer in the city, lured the victim and took her to a temple and married in a secret ceremony.
After marriage, the accused allegedly raped the victim. After the incident, the victim narrated her ordeal to her mother and they filed a police complaint on Friday, after which police began their investigation.
During police investigation, it was found that the accused and the victim were involved in a prior romantic relationship and after a dispute she had a fight with the accused.
However, the victim's mother had filed a complaint, alleging that her daughter was raped by the accused. Police had arrested the accused under relevant sections of BNS and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and after court proceedings he was sent to jail.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 42-year-old businessman committed suicide by consuming poison on Thursday due to debt and died during treatment on Friday night, Shahpura police said here on Saturday. Police station incharge Harish Gujjar said Mahesh Tiwari (42) attempted suicide by consuming poison on Thursday.
He succumbed to injuries on Friday night when he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The victim has left behind three children including an 18-year-old daughter. He was a transport businessman and owned a truck. He was originally from Uttar Pradesh.
The victim was struggling with debt and was under immense pressure to pay off his loans. He had multiple EMIs to pay due to which from a long time he was suffering from depression. After the post-mortem, police handed over the body to victim’s family members and now police are also looking into other possible factors that may be related to his death.
