Bhopal Crime Round-Up: 1,067 Wanted Criminals Arrested During Night Patrol; Cyber Cheat Dupes Doctor Couple Of ₹4L

City police arrested 1067 people, including 140 people with bailable warrants, from different areas of all four zones of Bhopal during the 16th combing patrol.

1,067 Wanted Criminals Arrested During Night Patrol

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): City police arrested 1067 people, including 140 people with bailable warrants, from different areas of all four zones of Bhopal during the 16th combing patrol, officials said here on Sunday. Police Commissioner of Bhopal Harinarayanchari Mishra said combing operation was organised in all four zones of the city.

The patrolling that started from Saturday late night ended after six hours on Sunday morning. Mishra further said that more than 1000 police officials including women police officials took part and video recordings were made.

During combing operation, police arrested 1067 accused including 529 holding permanent warrants, 398 arrest warrants, and 140 bailed warrants within six hours.

Apart from them, police also checked and warned 320 suspects during this combing patrol. According to police records, this police made highest number of arrests since the Bhopal commission system was started. A total of 9335 criminals were arrested.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Cyber fraudster posing as an officer of Sanik School, cheated Rs 4 lakh from a doctor couple in the name of offering medical check-up of students studying in the school. Police froze the amount and handed it back to the couple, police said on Sunday.

Police informed that on Saturday evening that a caller posing as captain Satish Rawat asked doctor couple Dr Rajiv Choudhary (ENT) and Hemlata Choudhary to conduct medical examinations.

The doctors stated their fees for the work. The caller asked them to send their details and location of their clinic through social media platform. The caller asked to upload an app on their mobile and also follow instructions.

The couple uploaded the app and followed instructions. Later, Rs 4 lakh were transferred in two parts. As soon as the couple found the transfer, they contacted police. The cops immediately jumped into action and froze the amount.
