Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A meeting of Bhopal District Panchayat Permanent Education Committee was held at District Panchayat Assembly Hall on Friday, which was presided over by vice president Mohan Singh Jat. The meeting saw discussion on an alleged audio clip involving District Project Coordinator (DPC) OP Sharma.

Committee members Vinay Singh Mehar, Vikram Baleshwar, Vinod Rajoria, Anil Hada along with BRCs and Jan Shikshaks from Berasia and Phanda blocks were present at the meeting.

Chairman Jat raised concerns over the audio, which reportedly contains a conversation suggesting a demand for money. DPC OP Sharma admitted the voice was his but denied any wrongdoing, claiming the conversation was about pending government funds owed to APC Chaurasia, not bribe. He asserted that the audio had been misrepresented with the intent to tarnish his reputation.

Taking the matter seriously, Vice President Jat issued a stern warning to Sharma, urging him to maintain decorum while interacting with colleagues and to avoid misuse of his position. Sharma apologised to the committee and assured that such incidents would not occur in the future.

Vice President Jat told media persons that OP Sharma has been given a clean chit with a warning as there was no evidence of the allegations against him. District Education Officer NK Ahirwar led the agenda discussions and instructed all officials to work with integrity and avoid conflicts.

The meeting also highlighted the improved results of high school and higher secondary examinations in rural areas, with the chairman commending educators and officials for their efforts. The session concluded with planning upcoming academic initiatives.
