Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Angry locals pelted stones at a baraat procession in Morena district after the procession caused a traffic jam on the roads in Morena on Saturday. During the attack, the groom Arjun Valmiki and his younger sister Roshni were injured.

The incident happened when groom Arjun Valmiki was leaving with his baraat from Ganj Rampur to Dholpur, Rajasthan.

According to information, while the baraat was on the way, some men blocked the road and started fighting with the groom and his family. They also threw stones at them, injuring groom Arjun Valmiki and his sister Roshni.

Both were taken to the district hospital for treatment. After that, the family reported the matter at Station Road police station.

As per reports, the trouble started when the baraat caused a traffic jam in Ganj Rampur.

Angry over this, some locals followed the baraat to Lalor railway crossing (Ambah Bypass), where they attacked the groom and his family.

The police allowed the baraat to continue to Dholpur, assuring the groom that a case will be registered after they return.

Police said they will take strict action against the attackers.

This incident has again raised serious questions about law and order in Morena, where cases of loot, firing, and robbery keep happening.
