Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 70-year-old woman in Jabalpur was allegedly beaten and dragged on the ground by two women from her neighborhood.

The shocking incident was caught on video and is now going viral on social media.

In the video, it can be seen that the women pulled and hit her while pushing away a young man who tried to stop them.

The elderly woman, Kondamma, who walks with the help of a stick, was attacked by two women named Durga and Narsamma in the Yadav Colony area under Lordganj police station.

The video shows the women pulling and hitting Kondamma while ignoring a young man who tried to stop them.

The fight is believed to have started over a money-related dispute.

Police have taken notice of the viral video and said they will take strict action against the accused after recording statements from witnesses.

Several neighbours also tried to stop the two women from attacking the elderly lady.

They intervened during the incident, but the woman pushed them away and continued beating the old woman.

Police have taken the matter seriously and are currently investigating.

They have started collecting statements from eyewitnesses and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved.
