Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 10-year-old student was seriously injured after a drunk police constable allegedly opened fire with a country-made gun during a wedding ceremony in Gwalior on Tuesday.
The incident took place while the children were enjoying and dancing during the wedding ceremony.

The incident took place on Tuesday in the Rajiv Awas area under Hazira police station.
According to information, the girl, named Dolly, was hit in the face by shrapnel from the firing and suffered serious injuries.
She was immediately taken to the hospital by her family, where she is currently receiving treatment.
The firing happened during a wedding function at the house of the Sikarwar family. While family members were singing and children were dancing, the accused, Sardar Singh Tomar, allegedly drunk, arrived at the event without invitation and suddenly started firing several rounds from a country-made pistol.
The victim’s family claimed that even after 24 hours of the incident, police did not take any action.
They alleged that since the accused is a constable posted at the Hazira police station, their complaints were being ignored.
However, after the video and details of the incident spread on social media, police finally arrested Sardar Singh Tomar and filed a case against him.
During questioning, he admitted to throwing the weapon into a nearby drain after the incident.
Police searched the area but were unable to recover the country-made gun. The investigation is still ongoing.
