Skoda India has commenced deliveries and test drives of its compact SUV, the Kylaq. The waiting period for the Kylaq now ranges from 2 to 4 months, depending on the variant. Prices for the SUV start at Rs 7.89 lakh and go up to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kylaq Waiting Period

Skoda plans to deliver 33,000 units by May, prioritizing higher-spec variants. The base Classic trim has the longest waiting period of up to 4 months as it comes only with a manual gearbox and limited color options.

The mid Signature trim has a waiting period of 3-4 months, varying based on color. The top Signature+ and Prestige trims are more readily available, with a shorter waiting period of 2-3 months for all gearboxes and colors.

Skoda had briefly halted bookings for the Classic trim in the first batch but reopened them recently. However, deliveries of these units will take place in the second batch.

The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It is available with a 6-speed manual (19.05kpl) or a 6-speed torque converter automatic (19.68kpl).

The SUV boasts six airbags as standard. The top variant features a 10-inch infotainment screen, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated seats, sunroof, ambient lighting, and wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. It recently secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
