Porsche India has officially announced the price of the rear-wheel-drive Taycan, setting it at Rs 1.67 crore (ex-showroom). This variant, which had been listed on the company’s website for almost a year without pricing details, now becomes the most affordable model in the Taycan range, positioned below the Taycan 4S. Last year, Porsche introduced the facelifted Taycan lineup in India, featuring the 4S and Turbo variants. The updated Taycan models also made a public appearance at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

Porsche has introduced the rear-wheel-drive Taycan as the new entry-level variant in its lineup, offering a more affordable alternative to the Taycan 4S with a price difference of Rs 24 lakh. This variant exclusively features a rear-drive layout, unlike the 4S and Turbo models that come with dual-motor setups. The latest update brings a more powerful electric motor, increasing output to 429 bhp and 410 Nm of torque. As a result, the Taycan now accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds, making it 0.6 seconds quicker than the previous version.

The smaller battery delivers a range of up to 590 km, while the bigger unit extends it beyond 670 km. It remains to be seen whether Porsche will offer both battery options in the Indian market.
