MG Motor India has announced that its flagship model, the Hector, is now certified to run on E20 fuel, which contains 20% ethanol blended petrol. With prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Hector comes in both 1.5-liter Petrol MT and CVT variants, making it environmentally friendly option for customers.
This move is part of MG Motor’s commitment to sustainability, aligning with the Government of India’s requirement for E20 fuel compatibility in all gasoline-powered vehicles sold after April 1, 2025. Following the certification for E20 material compatibility, all petrol-powered Hector units produced after March 31, 2025, will meet the new ethanol fuel standards.
