Kia India has achieved a significant milestone with the Carens, surpassing 2 lakh unit sales in just 36 months since its launch. The MPV has quickly gained popularity among Indian buyers, establishing itself as one of the fastest-selling models in its segment. With its spacious cabin, premium features, and strong performance, the Carens has become a preferred choice for families looking for a practical yet stylish vehicle.
Kia Carens continues to attract buyers, with its top trims contributing 24% of total sales, thanks to premium features like a sunroof, ventilated seats, multi-drive modes, and Kia Connect. The petrol variant remains the preferred choice, accounting for 58% of sales, while diesel models make up the remaining 42%. Automatic and iMT variants have also gained traction, with 32% of buyers opting for these transmission options for added driving convenience.
Notably, 28% of customers chose variants with a sunroof, while an overwhelming 95% of sales came from the 7-seater versions, reinforcing the Carens' reputation as a practical and family-friendly MPV.

Kia Carens is offered with three engine choices to cater to different driving needs. Customers can choose from a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 160 HP, a 1.5-litre petrol unit delivering 115 HP, or a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 116 HP. Kia claims that the petrol variants offer a fuel efficiency of 16.5 kmpl, while the diesel version delivers an impressive 21.5 kmpl. With a starting price of Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Carens continues to be a strong contender in the family MPV segment.
The Kia Carens has not only strengthened Kia India's presence in the domestic market but has also made a mark globally. The model has been exported to over 70 countries, with 24,064 units shipped overseas.
