Bajaj Auto has sparked excitement among enthusiasts with a teaser hinting at a significant addition to its Pulsar lineup. The teaser, shared on Instagram by @mypulsarofficial, featured a blurred reel paired with a raspy exhaust note, reminiscent of the RS200, fueling speculation about its update.

Adding to the anticipation, another Instagram post showcased an image of the RS200 with the caption, “We know it’s been long, The memoRieS RETURN,” with the highlighted letters ‘R’ and ‘S’ pointing to the model’s potential return. While the buzz largely surrounds an updated RS200, some fans are holding out hope for the introduction of an RS400 equipped with Bajaj’s 373 cc engine, already powering the Dominar 400 and NS 400Z. As speculation builds, all eyes are on Bajaj for further announcements.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200, introduced in 2015, has long been recognized as a key model in the Pulsar lineup, embodying the ‘Racing Sport’ ethos with its 200cc engine. It shares its 24hp and 19Nm powertrain with the NS200, paired to a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring solid performance.

However, the RS200 now lags behind newer models in terms of features and technology. Its halogen dual-projector headlights with twin DRLs and the digi-analogue instrument cluster, which lacks Bluetooth connectivity, highlight its dated design. An update is highly anticipated, with expectations of a fully digital dashboard and modern enhancements to bring it up to speed with today’s standards.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200, priced at Rs 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), has been a staple in the brand’s lineup since its launch in 2015. Despite its popularity, the model has only received minor updates over the years. Available in three distinct color options, the RS200 continues to attract buyers, but an upcoming update is expected to bring much-needed enhancements to this iconic motorcycle.
