BMW has launched the second-generation M2 in India, priced at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom). The sports coupe, introduced as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), made its global debut earlier this year. The updated model sees a Rs 5 lakh price hike, justified by a power boost of 27 bhp and minor cosmetic upgrades. Additional features further enhance the M2's appeal in the performance car segment.

The 2025 BMW M2 is powered by an upgraded 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine that now produces 473 bhp and 600 Nm of torque (550 Nm with the manual), up from the previous 446 bhp. It comes with a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox, while a 6-speed manual option is available for enthusiasts. The M2 sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds with the automatic and 4.2 seconds with the manual. For those opting for the M Driver’s Package, the electronically limited top speed increases from 250 kmph to 285 kmph. This upgrade aligns the M2's performance with the larger M3 and M4 models.

The 2025 BMW M2 receives subtle exterior updates while retaining its bold and aggressive design. Key changes include blacked-out M2 badging on the boot and redesigned alloy wheels, available in black or silver finishes. The coupe comes with a staggered wheel setup, featuring 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels for a dynamic stance. Standard black exhaust tailpipes further enhance its sporty appeal, with optional M light-alloy double-spoke wheels in silver for added customization.

The 2025 BMW M2 cabin now boasts a refined interior with advanced features. It includes the BMW Curved Display setup, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen powered by the latest Operating System 8.5. Enhancements like redesigned air-conditioning vents and optional red accents on standard sport seats add a sporty touch. Additionally, the M Carbon bucket seats, previously exclusive to the M Race Track package, are now available as an independent option for enthusiasts seeking a performance-oriented setup.
