The partner has stood up atlast! She was beaten up regularly! Initially she protested but later believed that this violence was normal . This is my life! That was India of the past ! Surgical strike changed the scenario partially
Kandahar, Pathankot, Mumbai serial blasts , Parliament attack transformed India into a spouse that suffered from ' Learned Helplessness'. Kadi ninda , crawling in front of the West and helplessness were the pathological behaviours India continuously displayed.
Collectively we broke it ! The country showed courage and exposed the bully ! The fears are gone ! We broke free from the Stockholm syndrome that was perpetuated by our inexperienced counselors ( leaders ) hand in glove with the enemy !
We believed that talks will help and "aman ki asha" will help. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi believed that jinnah can be convinced long back to shed the two nation theory. It did not work and we did not learn the lessons. The psychopaths can not be tamed. He will destroy his kith and kin too. And the abuse of India continued. We were bled largely after 1971.
Retribution & rational proportionate retaliation helps justice. It helps healing. The country is breathing a sense of relief!
While working with victims of disaster I found that agitation against the govt and effectively redressing the grievances assisted healing.
We have no guilt nor shame. And one psychological change in the collective consciousness is that now we do not really bother of how others feel about our actions.
