The Vintage Car Fiesta captured the hearts of Punekars on Saturday as the exhibition kicked off at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC)

The exhibition featured a collection of 100 rare and valuable vintage and classic cars

A special highlight of the event was the 1903 Humber, owned by NCCCL Chairman Abbas Jasdanwalla

Other notable vehicles on display included Dodge Kingsway used by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a Chevrolet Impala convertible once owned by Indira Gandhi, and a Mercedes-Benz that belonged to Hollywood legend Al Pacino

Among the remarkable exhibits were Amitabh Bachchan’s white Mercedes, Vinod Khanna’s rare two-door silver Mercedes, and a 1981 Mercedes-Benz Limousine used by the King of Brunei

The collection also showcased a 1952 Chrysler Convertible that was once the official car of the Governor of Madras, a 1947 MG owned by Yash Ruia, and the iconic Rajdoot motorcycle from the Bollywood film 'Bobby'

Elevating the grandeur of the event, the exhibition displayed globally renowned automotive brands such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Chevrolet and Ford

Additionally, rare gems like a 1933 Pebble Beach USA-winning car, a 1919 Overland, a 1956 Dodge, and one of the world’s oldest motorcycles, the 1938 Norton 500, were featured

Speaking to the Free Press Journal, industrialist Yohan Poonawala expressed his excitement. “It’s great to be back this year and to see so many people and enthusiasts coming out in large numbers. I’m also grateful to the car owners who have passionately restored their vehicles and brought them here," he said

Nitin Dossa, Chairman, VCCCI, added, “The Pune crowd loves the exhibition. For the last two years, we faced challenges in getting permission, but this year we’re thankful to the Pune police and other authorities for allowing us to host the event at the racecourse.”

One visitor, Sachin Gaikwad, shared his excitement: “Seeing the cars used by prominent leaders and celebrities, along with the first models from various companies, feels like a dream come true," he said
