Standing 30 meters tall, The Louis resembles a gleaming luxury cruise ship merged with an art museum. Its metallic LV monogram façade shimmers in the sunlight, while an anchor shaped like the iconic LV logo reinforces the nautical theme

The cruise ship design pays tribute to both Shanghai’s history as the “Gateway to the East” and Louis Vuitton’s heritage of crafting elegant trunks for globetrotting travelers

Upper levels of the installation are designed to look like towering stacks of Louis Vuitton’s signature travel trunks

Inside, visitors are greeted by the Trunkscape, an immersive exhibit filled with classic LV trunks set against dynamic, ever-changing nature backdrops

Designed by renowned architect Shohei Shigematsu in collaboration with Louis Vuitton’s creative team, the Visionary Journeys section covers 1,200 square meters. Guests can explore a curated library, a trunk-making workshop, and displays highlighting fashion and fragrance creations

A dedicated gift shop offers exclusive leather goods, travel accessories, shoes, and more. For a break, visitors can head up to the third floor’s Le Café Louis Vuitton. The Louis opened its doors to the public on June 28, welcoming fashion enthusiasts, design lovers, and curious visitors alike
