US President Donald Trump Threatens To Strike Iran Again Day After Announcing Ceasefire With Israel

Hague: A day after announcing a ceasefire between Iran and Israeli, United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to strike Tehran again if it starts rebuilding its nuclear programme.

Trump made these remarks ahead of the meeting with other world leader at a NATO Summit in the Hague.

When asked by reports, if the US would attack Iran again if it rebuilds its nuclear enrichment programme, the US President said, "Sure", reported The Indian Express. He further stated that Iran's nuclear programme was put back decades.

Earlier in the day, the US President denied a recent intelligence report which challenged the administration's claim that Washington strikes "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities.

The report by the US Defence Intelligence Agency disclosed by two American media outlets CNN and New York Times claimed that strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities have delayed the nuclear programme only by a few months, while much of its stockpile of enriched uranium was moved before the strikes.

"Fake news CNN, together with the failing New York Times, have teamed up in an attempt to demean one of the most successful military strikes in history. The nuclear sites in Iran are completely destroyed! Both the Times and CNN are getting slammed by the public," Trump said on Truth Social on Wednesday.

During an interview with American media outlet Fox News Steve Witkoff, the US President's Special Envoy to the Middle East called the leaking of the report "treasonous" stating that that it needs to be investigated.

On late Monday night, the US President announced a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a "complete and total ceasefire" soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack Monday on a US military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.

Both the nations accepted Trump's ceasefire agreement.
