'My Life Destroyed By Violent Man': Pakistan Anchor Jasmeen Manzoor Alleges Assault By Ex-Husband, Shares Photos Of Bruises & Swollen Eyes

Islamabad: Senior Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor on Wednesday accused her ex-husband of domestic violence. Jasmeen shared photos of the alleged assault on her X account. In a series of X posts, she said that her life has been destroyed by a "violent man".

In one of the pictures shared by the Pakistani news anchor, swelling around her eye could be seen. In the x posts, Jasmeen said that the alleged attack took place in her house at the time when her mother had passed away. She also claimed that she had 50 more photos of the assault.

"I kept thinking for so long whether I sh share this with public or not but I want to show the courage to share this so we can all unite against this kind of behaviour and for the govt authorities to open their eyes (sic.)," one of Jasmeen's posts read.

The Pakistani news anchor also claimed that the man who attacked her has been "sitting in Jinnah hospital since six months".

"This can happen to anyone no one is safe even in the safety your house the most dangerous people are the ones you trust blindly," she wrote along with sharing the photos of the alleged assault.

"Specially at a time when my mother passed away," Jasmeen posted.

"When you got a woman you show your true colours and you are just a coward that’s all," she stated. However, she did not mention her ex-husband's name in the posts.

"This is me . Yes this is my story my life destroyed by violent man. I leave my justice to my Allah," Jasmeen wrote on X.

She also alleged that her ex-husband had taken out a gun on a serving air force officer and tried to kidnap him.

Jasmeen's posts sparked outrage on social media. Netizens demand action against the accused. However, it is not clear whether the Pakistani news anchor has filed an official complaint against her ex-husband.
