Tehran, June 16: In a shocking incident, a live broadcast on Iranian state television was suddenly cut off after an explosion was heard during the programme. The incident occurred shortly after reports of an Israeli strike in the area. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The video shows that the anchor panics after sudden blast while reading news on live channel. The video of the incident is going viral on social media.

According to Iran’s state-run news agency, the incident took place during a live report from a studio in Iran’s capital Tehran. The reporter on-screen mentioned that the studio was filling with dust and spoke of "the sound of aggression against the homeland." Just moments later, a loud explosion was heard and the screen behind the reporter was damaged. The reporter quickly left the frame and the broadcast was immediately replaced with a prerecorded programme. Chants of "Allahu Akbar" can be heard in the background after the massive blast rocked the newsroom during live broadcast.

This unexpected interruption came about an hour after Israel issued a warning to evacuate the area where Iran’s state TV studios are located.

As of now, there is no official confirmation from Iranian authorities on the full extent of the damage or any possible casualties. The situation remains tense and more information is expected soon. According to Israeli officials, the warning affected nearly 3,30,000 people in the capital.

The attack on the TV studio appears to be part of a wider and rapidly escalating conflict between the two nations. Israeli military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin claimed that Israel had gained air superiority over Tehran and could carry out strikes with minimal resistance. He added that over 120 missile launchers and 10 command centres belonging to Iran’s elite Quds Force had been destroyed.

Meanwhile, Iran responded by firing a fresh wave of over 100 missiles at Israel, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 500. A missile also struck near the American consulate in Tel Aviv, though no U.S. personnel were hurt, according to U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee.
