American Airlines Passenger Tries To Barge Into Cockpit Onboard Sao Paulo-New York Flight, Knocked To Ground By Flight Attendants (VIDEO)

New York: An American Airlines flight from Sao Paulo to New York witnessed chaotic scenes after a female passenger tried to barge into the cockpit of the aircraft on April 24. Flight attendants physically restrained the female passenger from entering the cockpit, reported The New York Post. The incident, which took place inside the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, was recorded on camera. Soon the video went viral on social media.

The video shows the woman passenger trying to enter the cockpit at Brazil's Sao Paulo and indulging in an argument with the flight crew. The crew members knocked the woman to the ground. She was then sent back to her seat in the first-class compartment.

As the woman was going back to her seat, another passenger started shouting at her. Flight attendants had to intervene to calm things down. After the incident, the flight returned to the departure gate due to safety concerns.

“On Thursday, 24th April, American Airlines Flight 950, operating from Sao Paulo (GRU) to New York (JFK), returned to the boarding gate before departure due to a safety problem on board,” American Airlines said in a statement as reported by The New York Post.

The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority and we thank everyone for their understanding. The aircraft was received by police officers. The flight took off again at 12:55 a.m. local time. The Conditions of Transportation of American Airlines have been designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all who travel with us, including our customers and employees,” the statement added.
