UP Shocker! Plaster Of Ceiling Falls On Student In Gorakhpur Government School, Causes Serious Head Injury; Video

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: A tragic incident has been reported from the Composite School located in Balapar village, under the Chiluatal police station area of Chargaon block in Gorakhpur district. On Saturday, a portion of the school's broken ceiling plaster suddenly fell on a student studying in fifth grade. The student was severely injured during the incident and has been admitted in the nearby medical college for treatment.

According to reports, the student named Bikram, son of Neeraj Chauhan, had arrived at Balapar Composite School as per his daily routine. While he was sitting in the classroom, a large chunk of plaster from the ceiling suddenly broke off and fell directly on his head. The impact caused a serious head injury, and the child lost consciousness.

Student In Critical Condition:

Panic spread among the nearby teachers and students. The staff and teachers immediately rushed the injured student to the district hospital. Considering his critical condition, doctors referred him without delay to BRD Medical College after initial treatment.

After ceiling caved in the classroom eyewitnesses started recording the panicked scene, which has now gone viral on the Internet. Netizens are sparking outrage over the irresponsible management of the school.

This incident has once again raised questions about school management negligence and the dire condition of government buildings. There is widespread anger among residents and parents. Villagers stated that the school building had been in a broken state for a long time, but the concerned department had not taken any steps toward its repair.

This Was Second Instance In the Last Two Months

According to reports, teachers of the school said that on 17th June, the roof and balcony of the school verandah collapsed, and a video of the same was made and senior officials were informed about it, but no action was taken.
