Marmaris: A group of British tourists were brutally thrashed and stamped on by male bouncers at an eatery and Bar in Marmaris, south-west Turkey, after an altercation over the bill escalated. Video footage of the incident has gone viral.
The video shows a group, including two women and one man, being kicked and punched by approximately five male bouncers from Mad Boys eatery. The incident took place on 2/06/2025 at around 23:30.
The video begins with a heated altercation before escalating into violence. It shows two of the tourists falling to the ground, where the assault continues, with the bouncers repeatedly kicking them as they lie on the pavement. One bouncer even jumped out of a window to join the brawl. Customers can be seen watching the incident from inside the eatery.
The footage also shows the bouncers assaulting the male tourist in the group, while two female tourists attempt to intervene. The women, trying to de-escalate the situation, are punched and stamped on, causing them to fall on the ground.
The brawl reportedly stemmed from a 5,000 TL (£92) bill dispute, with the restaurant management claiming the tourists refused to pay and provoked the fight.
According to a report by AKŞAM, after the video went viral, five staff members were detained.The venue was sealed off indefinitely, and municipal officials later cited building violations as an additional reason for the shutdown.
