Shocking Video: Kerala Man Separates Mother Dog From 6 New-Born Puppies, Mercilessly Drags & Kills It

A chilling video of a dog mercilessly being dragged to death was shared online by animal activists. The incident was reported from Kerala earlier this June. It caught on camera a man holding a dog's leg and dragging it across the ground along with holding a stick-like object in another hand.

About the animal cruelty video from Kerala

Taking to Twitter, animal activist Tarana Singh brought to notice that the incident took place in Kollam, Kerala where a man broke into the residence of animal lovers and forcefully took away the mother dog, leaving the six new-born puppies separated from its mother forever. "Have we truly lost our senses," he slammed while raising her voice against the animal cruelty case.

Singh called it to be "Gutwrenching" as she further narrated the matter. "GutWrenching incident from Kerala Kollam where a grandmother & daughter were fostering a Mother Dog & her 6 Pups, a Gang of Men armed with rods, entered & BEAT the Mother to Death leaving behind 6 orphans."

Kerala which is often referred to as God's Own Country was post-incident dubbed the "Devil's own country."

Stray dog menace in Kollam

It was reported that Kollam where the above incident took place witnessed a stray dog menace and saw a sudden surge in humans getting attacked. In a recent case, school students were attacked by a canine right in front of the education institute while they were leaving for their homes on Monday (June 19) afternoon.

In another incident of a dog attack that created panic in the state, a differently-abled boy was brutally killed in the Eddakkad area of Kannur, Kerala. While the boy lost his life to the unfortunate happening, another child who was a victim of the attack survived with injuries.

SC on euthanising stray dogs

The Supreme Court earlier this month issued a notice on a plea seeking permission for euthanising extremely dangerous stray dogs in the wake of the incident in Kerala where a minor girl was bitten by stray dogs.
