A Muslim youth, identified as Sahil Khan, was paraded semi-naked and beaten by a group of locals in Dehradun on Saturday after allegedly making provocative comments related to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. A post by 'Megh Updates' claimed that Khan celebrated the recent horror that killed 28 people, while the entire country mourned it.
"Sahil Khan celebrated the Pahalgam terror attack," the post read, further stating that he spoke about bringing down a local goddess temple.
"We have killed only 28 and you're shivering, we will destroy the Dharampur (Mata) Temple," he was quoted as saying in the now-viral post.

Khan, who is accused of celebrating the Pahalgam terror attack that specifically targeted Hindus men and of issuing threats against the Dharampur Temple, faced strong retaliation from local residents.
He received what many referred to as "RSS-like" treatment.
He was reportedly handed over to the police later.

Videos of Khan being beaten up and paraded have surfaced online. Visuals from the scene show Khan with visible injuries across his back and arms.
Reacting to the footages, the internet strongly condemned Khan's remarks. A few users justified the local people's response to the Muslim man's celebration of Pahalgam attack, and wrote, "Good. This should be done all across the country".
