Gwalior: Bhabhi-Devar Attempt To Make Reel By Releasing LPG In Air Ends Into Massive Fire, 8 Flats Destroyed

A social media stunt took a disastrous turn in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, when a woman’s attempt to create a viral reel with one of her relatives by releasing LPG into the air resulted in a powerful explosion, severely injuring the Bhabhi-Devar duo and damaging multiple flats in a seven-story building.
The incident occurred intervening night of at The Legacy Plaza building on city's Bhind Road. Authorities revealed that Ranjana Jat, along with her 38-year-old relative Anil Jat, was filming a video in her first-floor flat when the explosion took place around 2:15 a.m. While recording the video, Jat reportedly released gas open into the air, leading to serious consequences.
LPG gas leak in MP
Videos and images uploaded by NDTV (MP Chhattisgarh) showed the destruction caused by the gas leak. According to reports, which accessed the reel, Ranjana deliberately released gas from an LPG cylinder while Anil recorded the act. Using a pin, she messed with the nose of the cylinder, intentionally leaking the gas.
The duo engaged in filming the act for nearly 17 minutes, soon turning the apartment into a gas chamber. The fire broke out when Anil switched on a CFL light to improve visibility for filming, causing a spark that led to a devastating explosion.
8 flats damaged
The risky reel ended up in massive fire in the building, causing damage to at least eight flats. The blast, triggered by the gas leak, left both individuals with severe burn injuries.
The intensity of the explosion destroyed Ranjana’s one-bedroom flat and caused structural damage to neighbours' properties.
