Rampur: A man in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur gave a pregnancy test kit to his bride on their wedding night on Saturday. This act enraged the bride, who immediately called her parents. Soon after, family members arrived at her in-laws' house. According to reports, the bride had felt dizzy upon arriving at her new home after the wedding, which raised suspicions in the husband's mind.

According to Hindi news portals, after the wedding procession returned, the bride began to feel dizzy in the evening due to exhaustion, heat, and humidity. Seeing her condition, the groom became nervous and shared his concern with a few friends. Jokingly, they suggested that it could be a sign of pregnancy. This made the groom even more tensed and acting on this, the groom bought a pregnancy test kit from a nearby medical store that night.

He then asked his bride to use the kit. This made the bride lose her temper and she informed her family about the incident. Her family soon arrived and a major uproar took place between both families, with the ruckus continuing for quite some time.

Before the situation could escalate further, some villagers intervened and called a panchayat meeting, which lasted for about two hours. In the end, the groom publicly admitted his mistake and apologised to the bride and her family. He also gave an assurance to the panchayat that he would not behave in such a manner again.
