China Mother Carries Cancer Suffering Child In Delivery Box To Work As She Cannot Afford Her Childcare; Sparks Donations And Sympathy After Video Goes Viral

A Chinese mother is receiving widespread sympathy and attention for the unforeseen situation she is going through. The mother carries her 4-year-old daughter, who is suffering from cancer, to her work in a delivery box as she cannot afford childcare services. The video has created a stir among netizens, garnering sympathy, and even donations poured in when it went viral.

The incident is from China's Anhui province, where a woman, surnamed Zhu, and her child were caught on camera by an online influencer. The 25-year-old delivered food on an electric bicycle in the summer heat while carrying her daughter in the box attached to the vehicle. Zhu reported that her 4-year-old daughter, named Nuoxi, was diagnosed with a tumour two years ago.

She said sometimes she receives complaints on delivering the orders late, but the hard times are worth it as she gets to spend time with her daughter. She mentioned that it ignites her heart when her daughter offers sweet gestures like pressing life button during delivering orders.

Difficult Situation Faced By Couple:

While the mother rides along with the daughter, her husband, identified by his surname, Guan, is also a delivery rider and works full time. Thus, he is not able to look after his daughter.

Her child, Nuoxi had endured three operations, nine chemotherapies, and 12 radiotherapies, but she remained strong and optimistic.

Video Went Viral:

An influencer covered Zhu's story, and the video went viral on social media, many people flocked to the mother’s social media account to donate money. The local government also reacted immediately to help the family apply for an allowance. Zhu said they also received financial aid from the food delivery company Meituan.
