Bizarre! Thieves Caught On Camera Stealing Sewer Cover In UP's Ghaziabad; WATCH

Ghaziabad: A bizarre incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, where thieves stole an iron cover of a drain. The incident was recorded on CCTV installed in the area. The video soon went viral on social media.

In the visuals, two people could be seen lifting the drain cover. Another person came on an e-rickshaw. Both thieves loaded the iron cover on the rickshaw and fled from the spot. The incident reportedly took place at the Lal Kuyaan area near the Bharat Gas agency on the intervening night of August 1 and August 2.

Notably, thieves painted the number plate of the e-rickshaw red to avoid getting caught by the police. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the matter.

Netizens hit out at authorities for rising incidents of theft in the state. They said that these types of incidents are on the rise due to unemployment.
