Katihar, Bihar: A shocking video has sparked concerns on the Internet, which shows a 7-year-old student's neck trapped in a closed classroom window to get out of it after teachers allegedly left him when school ended. Villagers and locals came to the rescue of the child, and after long efforts, he was relieved. The incident has shed light on the negligence of school authorities, as the student was left behind in the classroom by teachers and staff while he was sleeping, and they locked the gates.

The incident is from Katihar's primary school from Tajganj Fasiya Ward No. 45. On Tuesday, a 7-year-old student, Gaurav Kumar, who studies in third grade, found himself trapped in the window of the closed classroom while getting out of it. According to the information, the school closed at 4 PM. As usual, all the children, teachers, staff, and the principal of the school locked all the gates of the school and left. But Gaurav is napping in his classroom.

As soon as the student woke up, he saw that the classroom door was locked. He tried to get out of the classroom through the window his neck was trapped in it. Reportedly, he was stuck there for nearly one hour.

Villagers Came To Rescue

Coincidentally, there were some children playing cricket near the school, who came inside the school boundaries to collect the ball when they heard Gaurav's cries. They immediately told the nearby villagers. A few villagers gathered near the school and broke into it after breaking the lock on the main door. The kid was rescued later.

Who's Responsible For The Incident?

The incident has sparked questions on the responsibility of the school staff towards the students as they left him in the classroom and closed all the doors as well. Even if the student felt asleep in the classroom it's school teachers and staff's responsibility to get it out of the school and send him home safely.
