Bageshwar Dham Viral Video: Dhirendra Shastri asks 'nalayak' journalist to hold his ears, apologise & worship feet

Madhya Pradesh: A video doing the rounds on social media records the incident from self-proclaimed Godman Dhirendra Shastri's Bageshwar Dham and shows how he treats a journalist on the premises.

When a journalist raised his hand to put forth a question to the Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Dhirendra Shastri, he lost his cool and disrespected the journalist. Furthermore, he asked the man to step on the stage to apologise in front of the crowd for questioning the Godman.

The entire incident was caught on camera and is now viral on the internet. Seconds into the video, we can hear Shastri saying to the journalist, "Sita Ram japo. Tujhe bolne ka tameez hi nahi hai...toro bhi batade ki langot kyo diloy?"

In the video, Shastri not only called the journalist "nalayak (useless)," but also demanded him obey his words -- hold his ears, apologise, and worship feet. Later, he asked the journalist to walk off the stage in a purportedly insulting manner.

Who is the journalist in the video?

The viral video from Bageshwar Dham shows a Barkha Dutt-led Mojo Story journalist trying to find the truth and expose the self-proclaimed Godman Dhirendra Shastri. Sharing the ground report on social media, the news media termed the Godman "Bully Baba."

What was the question that triggered the Godman?

The Mojo Story team asked Shastri whether he would treat a person who they would select from the crowd and bring to him, purportedly to verify whether the Godman would have staged and scripted people to claim their illness and worries to him in the midst of the crowd and later flaunt a fake recovery.

"Can you treat someone whom I pick from the crowd and produce in front of you," the journalist questions in the viral video.

"Why don't you tell worshippers that they need medical care along with your blessing," he later adds while speaking to whom Mojo Story now calls "Bully Baba." This triggers Shastri and makes him indulge in rude and disrespectful behaviour with him. Nevertheless, Shastri can be seen replying while pointing out a distributed pamphlet, "Yaha pareshan vyakti aa sakte. Chinta na kare. Duva aur dava aur krupa, sabki aavashakta hai. (Worried people can come here. Don't worry. Blessing, medicine, well wishes, all are needed)"
