'Are You Watching Porn?' : Bengaluru CEOs Shocking Remark To Female Intern Leaves Internet In Shock

Workplace mishaps are not new in everyday life. Sometimes its about hilarious resignations and sometimes it can be brutal terminations. This time it has gone an awful way. In the generation where everyone is talking about ideal work cultures and employee proficient atmospheres one young woman from a Bengaluru startup company has faced a painful experience of harassment and humiliation at work.

After an inappropriate and sexist treatment from the company’s CEO at work, the young woman took to reddit to share her story. In a Reddit post by @akclone, she shared her experience and how things quickly went wrong.

In the reddit post, the girl mentioned what all happened with her at work. According to the post, the girl moved to Bengaluru in her last year of her master's degree to join a startup company as a UX designer. She was the only designer in the company working directly under the CEO. At the time of the review meeting at the end of her 2 months of internship, her CEO frankly remarked if she was taking this job seriously. The CEO said, "I don’t know whether you came to Bengaluru to work or to enjoy with your BOYFRIEND. Mujhe lagta hai tum kaam hi nahi karti (I don't think you work at all).”

Further, she also mentioned instances of humiliation in front of the other staff members. The CEO once claimed that she is dragging the company down and that's the reason he doesn't want to talk in private. The CEO also refused to let her prepare for her final jury of college, saying it was not his outlook.

In the final shocker, when the woman was the only lady remaining in the office, she started sitting away from the other staff. She was asked, "Why are you sitting away? Porn dekh rahi ho kya? (Are you watching porn?)"
