Agra Husband Refuses To Give Different Bindis To Wife Every Day; She Asks For Divorce & Leaves For Maternal Home

In a bizarre case from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a woman reportedly demanded for divorce from her husband over a dispute regarding her daily choice of bindis. The woman, who enjoyed styling herself with different bindis every day, was upset after her husband refused to provide her new stickers to satisfy her desire.

According to reports, the man asked her on limiting the number of bindis citing financial concerns, but the woman kept insisting on new ones. This disagreement escalated to such an extent that the woman decided to leave her husband's residence and return to her maternal home, ultimately seeking a divorce.

The couple sought counselling at a nearby family counselling centre after the local police intervened in the matter.

7 bindis for a week

The incident came to the light of the media after counsellor Dr Amit Gaud spoke about the recent case without disclosing the identity of the individuals.

He told the husband would count bindis before giving them to the lady and raise concerns when she would demand for new ones. The husband would initially give her only seven bindis for a week, but later he increased the count to 30-35 bindis when she cited the stickers would fall off frequently.

This is not the first time such an unusual case was reported from Agra.

Earlier, a wife lodged a police complaint after her husband forgot bringing momos for her. They went through a counselling session to settle the discord. It was learned that the husband promised to get her wife momos twice every week later.
