Mumbai Accident: 47-Year-Old Man Dies In Scooter Crash After Being Hit By Dumper On Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road

Mumbai: A 47-year-old man lost his life on Saturday afternoon after a dumper truck collided with his scooter on the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road. The deceased, identified as Subhash Dulgach, was a manager at a housekeeping company in Andheri and a resident of Vile Parle East.

According to police reports, Dulgach had left for work in the morning on his scooter and was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The fatal collision occurred around 12:45 PM while he was travelling from Shivaji Nagar towards Cheda Nagar, as reported by The Times Of India.

The victim's family was informed by Tilak Nagar police and asked to come to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, where they were told that Dulgach succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at 2 PM.

His younger brother, Sanjay Dulgach, filed a complaint following the incident. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the dumper driver, Govinda Chauhan, for reckless driving and causing death due to negligence, according to the report. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.

Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run on JVLR After Scooter Hit by Speeding Dumper

In another tragic incident, a woman named Chanda Mane tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run accident on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) on Friday. The incident occurred when her Activa scooter was struck from behind by a speeding dumper.

The accident took place near Jogeshwari while Mane was riding her two-wheeler. The dumper driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the collision. Onlookers quickly informed emergency services, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, she was declared dead on arrival by doctors, according to IANS.

Authorities are currently searching for the absconding dumper driver, and further investigation is underway.
