Customers of Isha Ambani’s Tira Beauty platform are falling victim to a worrying delivery scam, with multiple users reporting instances of fraud involving fake calls from individuals posing as Blue Dart delivery agents. These scammers allegedly demand payments equivalent to the customers’ cart value, often using convincing tactics to mislead unsuspecting buyers.

One such case was highlighted by Kochi-based influencer Shweta Vijay Nair, who took to Instagram to share her experience, calling the incident “deeply alarming.” Nair had placed an order for international beauty products on the Tira Beauty app using the Cash on Delivery (COD) option. The very next morning, she received a call from someone claiming to be a Blue Dart delivery executive, who said he was outside her building with her order.“He even named my building, described its colour, and said he was standing next to the watchman,” she said.

The man then insisted she make the payment via QR code, stating that Tira had updated its system and no longer accepted COD for international orders.“What threw me off was how he knew the order consisted of international products. For a moment, I believed him. But when he demanded payment before handing over the parcel, alarm bells went off,” she added.

Nair refused to make the payment and contacted Tira Beauty directly. The brand promptly confirmed the incident as a scam and issued a statement advising customers to stay vigilant. “Hi Shweta, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please be advised that Tira or its partners will never request payments via phone calls or from unverified sender IDs… Payments should only be made directly to the delivery person upon receiving your order at your doorstep,” the company said in its response.

Alongside Nair’s post, numerous users on social media platform X have come forward with similar stories, raising serious concerns over the safety of user data on the Tira Beauty platform or its logistics partner Blue Dart. The scam appears to involve misuse of sensitive customer information, and users are strongly advised to avoid making any payments over phone calls or scanning unverified QR codes.
