First Tesla Supercharging Station In India Is Now Live In Mumbai: All You Need To Know
Tesla entered into the Indian market with its Tesla Y model in Mumbai last month. The company has now announced that the first superchargers have now gone live in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex.

Tesla has announced that the first supercharging station in India is now live. After opening its first showroom in Mumbai, the company has now brought the first supercharging station to the city as well, making it the first one to launch in the country. The supercharging stations are reported to offer extremely fast charging speeds for compatible cars. It is touted to offer close to 300kms range in just 14 minutes of charging.
Where is Tesla first supercharging station in Mumbai?
The Tesla charging station is set up at One BKC in the Bandra-Kurla Complex,. It features four V4 supercharging stalls (DC charging) and four destination charging stalls (AC charging), the company said. This is one of the many supercharging stations that Tesla plans to install in Mumbai.
Tesla superchargers price in India
Supercharging stalls offer peak charging speed of 250 kW for a price of Rs 24/kW and Rs 11/kW for 11kW of charging speed. Currently, the charging speed offered at this station is at 11kW.
Tesla is now preparing to expand its presence by opening a new showroom in Delhi soon. It will also launch four new charging stations in New Delhi, which will include 16 Superchargers and 15 Destination Chargers.
In Mumbai, Tesla will also bring charging stations in other key areas -- Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.
Tesla is currently taking car orders across most Indian states via its website. While customers in several regions can now place bookings, priority delivery will be given to Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram. States now eligible include Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and more. Only the Model Y is currently up for pre-orders, and it starts from Rs. 59.89 lakhs.
