Royal Challengers Bengaluru 's (RCB) star pacer Yash Dayal has reportedly been banned from partaking in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League. According to a report of Dainik Jagran, Dayal was to represent the Gorakhpur Lions Team after being signed up for ₹7 lakh but the rape case registered against him means the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) couldn't allow him.

On August 7, it emerged that the Rajasthan High Court refused to grant Dayal is facing allegations of raping a minor due to which a case has been registered at the Sadar Police Station in Jaipur. Justice Sudesh Bansal, lawyer for the RCB cricketer, reportedly stated that the survivor was a minor when the alleged incident first happened. The court refused to stay the Uttar Pradesh cricketer's stay on arrest or halt proceedings in the case and announced that further hearing will be on August 2.

As per The Times of India, the alleged incident took two years ago and that Dayal molested her in IPL 2025 too. It also reported that survivor had introduced herself as an aspiring cricketer and the left-arm seamer said he would help her in exchange of sexual favours.

Yash Dayal had returned with 13 wickets in 15 matches in RCB's title-winning campaign in 2025

Meanwhile, the left-arm seamer played an integral role in RCB's drought-breaking title victory this year as he took 13 wickets in 15 games but had a mediocre average of 36.15. He notably outsmarted MS Dhoni in the death for the second time in two seasons when the contest took place at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

With the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) needing 15 runs off the last six deliveries, he led RCB to a two-run win in the end. Dayal also took tidy figures of 3-0-18-1 in the final against Punjab Kings.
