Rising India star Shubman Gill has earned the Player of the Month Award for September for his stellar contributions to the Men in Blue's dominance. The right-handed batter pipped fellow countryman Mohammed Siraj and England's Dawid Malan to clinch the award.

Gill has been in stellar form in ODI cricket this year, slamming five centuries and accumulating well over 1200 runs. The 24-year-old won the Player of the Series award in the three-game ODI series against Australia on home soil, making a half-century and a century in the first two ODIs.

Siraj was arguably a close contender, headlined by his sensational spell in Asia Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka in Colombo, taking 6 wickets to bowl the hosts out for 50 as India won by 10 wickets. Meanwhile, Dawid Malan was also in good form as he kept piling runs to help England win the ODI series against New Zealand.
