Team India's ODI captain Rohit Sharma added ₹4.18 crore worth Lamborghini Urus to his collection of cars and opted '3015' as the number plate. Coloured orange, the number plate of Rohit's car particularly has attracted people's attention as the significance of it relates to his daughter and son's birth dates.
According to reports, this is the 38-year-old's sixth car. As far as the number plate goes, 3015 relates to his daughter Samaira and son Ahaan's birth dates. Rohit and his wife Ritika Sajdeh's daughter Samaira took birth on December 30, 2018, while their son was born on November 15, 2024. Hence, the number '3015' is derived from there.
Earlier, the Nagpur-born cricketer had the number '264' engraved behind his blue Lamborghini and black Range Rover as a number plate. The number '264' is the right-handed batter's highest score in ODIs, smashed against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in 2014. It is also the world record in the 50-over international cricket.
Rohit Sharma recently returned to Mumbai after spending holidays in London
Meanwhile, the Nagpur-born cricketer was recently spotted in London, spending holidays with family. He was also notably present for the fifth Test between India and England at the Kia Oval Cricket Ground in London, cheering for Yashasvi Jaiswal.
On the cricketing side of things, Rohit's last competitive match was during IPL 2025 for the Mumbai Indians during Qualifier 2 against the Punjab Kings as the five-time champions lost to the eliminated out of the tournament. Rohit is likely to next appear for India during the Australia tour in October 2025.
Nevertheless, as per latest reports, the tour of Australia could be the last international assignment for both Rohit and Virat Kohli as the BCCI reportedly want the pair to feature in Vijay Hazare Trophy to stay in contention to play the 2027 World Cup.
